Frequently Asqued Questions

KEGG based mapping:  why some metabolites are not mapped on the KEGG biosource I am using?

It is possible that a metabolite is mentionned in KEGG but don't belong to a KEGG metabolic network in MetExplore. In fact, KEGG network is organism specific. It means that import is done by getting only reactions encoded by a gene in the selected organism. It means that, if all reactions producing or consuming a metabolite don't have a corresponding gene for the selected organism, the metabolite won't be imported.
